Bio
Jash (Liangqing Yuan) is a London-based artist whose practice primarily engages with non-material forms, alongside sound, lens-based media, text, and performance.
Jash’s work consistently responds to the questions and urgencies that arise in the present moment. Questioning the boundaries of established cognition and patterns of behaviour remains central to their practice. Their recent explorations focus on queer identity, diasporic experience, and the act of sensing and holding emotional moments in everyday life. They seek ways of returning to the body as a grounding state, and from there explore pathways of self-healing and renewed understanding of the world in the aftermath of life’s uncertainties and impermanence.
